Hi John, I have never had the blind on it. As for what it is...The frame work comes straight up 18" or so from each corner, cross bars connecting the vertical supports, the canvas attaches (via snaps) to the top rails of the frame and then snaps to the gunnels of the boat. If you look closely at some of the pictures, you can see the snaps on the outside edge of the gunnels. I will search back in my photos, I may have something there of when the builder had it. We hunted the same waters, that is where I first saw the boat and how I came to purchase it.

Thanks Troy

Troy, nice meeting you this morning and sharing breakfast. Sorry you had to deal with the Mid-Atlantic congestion and traffic. The Scaup is tucked into her new shelter, and now the frustration of Virginia's bureaucracy begins trying as best I can to make her legal.

As you noted the hard cover is heavy, and will be the first thing to go! Maria and I struggled to move it very far. I won't leave it in the weather, so I don't need a new design in the short term.

Stay tuned for my "enhancements" in the seasons to come. This year it maybe just use as is and plan for next off-season changes. Will see how much time I have with everything else on the calendar.

Enjoy your vacation,
