SOLD: MLB Chuck Huff in SE Michigan

The boat is now sold. Thanks for looking.

I am selling a 2007 Fiberglass Mighty Layout Boys Big Sneak Box Chuck Huff. The boat is in excellent almost brand new condition. I will be selling it as a package with the Galvanized EZ-Loader trailer and 9.9 HP 2 stroke 1989 Johnson outboard motor. I have plenty of pictures available for email. I am located in southeastern Michigan. I would like $3400 for the package described below.

The MLBBSB Chuck Huff is 13’ 6” long with a 55” beam. It is a planing hull style of sneakbox and performs amazingly well with an outboard. I was able to jump onto plain and back off again with amazing speed and quickness with this motor combination. It truly is the perfect outboard motoring sneakbox.

I have decided to sell this boat since I have found my true waterfowling passion….Sculling!!! Although I love sneakboxes I have discovered sculling to be more enjoyable to me than any other form of waterfowl hunting. My Dad and I own a Brant II-X from Lock, Stock, and Barrell that we use extensively. We found ourselves taking that boat out to scull hunt and the Chuck Huff was just sitting in the garage. We feel like we would rather have the space in the garage and I would like the extra cash in my pocket.

I bought this Chuck Huff boat brand new according to my order specifications in the fall of 2007. The boat has only been in the water 4 times in 2007, 4 times in 2008, and 1 time in 2010 for a total of 9 times. The boat is in excellent condition and shows very little wear. The boat is MLB granite gray color with matching removable spray dodger. I also had the optional navigation lighting with fused control panel and interior rope lighting installed. The boat has a locking fiberglass hardcover and a wooden operator’s seat. There are handles fore and aft plus two storage boxes on each side. The boat also has front and back grassing rails and I had the no slip surface applied for extra grip. I have included the link to the MLB chuck huff page for extra reference. http://216.68.81.212/...00b8f45?OpenDocument

The trailer is a hot dipped galvanized EZ-Loader trailer that came with the boat. It has a third wheel on the tongue and a strap with winch up front plus a safety chain. A spare tire is also mounted up front and there are two carpeted bunks underneath. The tires are 20” diameter with maintenance free oil bath wheel hub.

The outboard motor is a 1989 Johnson 9.9 HP short shaft 2 stroke. We bought the motor used from smalloutboards.com (AFA Marine in Florida) in late 2008. The motor came certified from their marina and I have all the original information from their website about this motor saved on a Microsoft word document. I can email this document with all its pictures upon request. The motor runs extremely well and is very strong. It starts on the first pull and pulls very easily. The motor runs fairly quietly for a 2 stroke and without much vibration. The low end trolling speed is very smooth. This is NOT a “ticker” motor.

Extra features that will be included:
3 gallon red plastic scepter fuel tank with 5/16 OMC fuel line
12V sealed non –spillable lead-acid universal battery
“Battery Tender Plus” battery charger (still has the package and paper work)
10 pound black mushroom anchor with 50 foot line and brass swivel clip
DRI-DEK floor liner throughout the cockpit
White running light mounted on the inside right of the cockpit
Cabelas gunwale ratchet strap tie down with orange pads
2 new rubber transom pads (1 on the boat already and 1 extra)
2 drainage hole plugs for the boat
Brass security lock for the trailer hitch tongue
Trailer light adapter (4 way flat to a 6 way round)

The pictures that I have are too large to post on the attachments. I have plenty of pictures and I will be happy to email them to anyone that sends me their email address. I have the registration for the boat and trailer on hand plus all the original paper work for both. Signing the boat legally over to a new owner will not be an issue. I would like $3400 for the boat, motor, trailer, and all the extra features I mentioned above. Please PM me with any questions. I am willing to discuss pick up or delivery or a mutual meeting place.

Thanks for looking!
