How to mount?

I was lucky enough to have shot a mature buffie drake with a band on him and would like some ideas on how get him mounted that would show his band the best? Had him come right into my decoys and he landed next to the 2 E Allens buffie drakes I usually put out and I thought about not even shooting him as it looked like a good day and I could get my limit of drake mallards but after a few moments I decided a bird in the hand is better than nothing so I stood up and flushed him and got him with the second shot just about fell in when I spotted the band anyone now how rare a banded buffie is he was banded in sask in 2005 and harvested in SW mn

they are pretty rare on buffies.ive got a eider laying dead over an e-allen i mounted that looks sweet.also a flying or sitting pose could be done to show the band.i will snap a pic of the eider and post it and flying buffie pic is on my site if interested. blake

If I had a big bull Buffy mounted..I'd have him in a cockily swimming pose. I swear..buffies have to be the toughest acting duck on the water.

I think I'd mount it flying straight out of the wall with feet about half way down like it's strafing the spread..wings cupped. So, you could have the head high and alert to show the "buff" and then have the back and top of wings showing AND have those gorgeous pink feet hanging down with the jewelry. That is really cool. I've only heard of one other guy bagging a banded buffie. It was on Lake Superior.
