Finally a boat for those who....

He didn't use epoxy to build that?!?! It'll never last. :)
That is very close to the boats I think are some of the neatest light boats I have ever seen. Maybe the one in your link is just a touch more crude. LINK CLICK HERE

So have you been shooting ducks?

I can see it now arguments over what the best type of duct tape to use would be. Do I need to tape the internal seams? How can I modify it to mount my 6hp. Mud buddy on it?

It’s been a great season so far. Lots of lessons learned some the hard way. The snow really had the ducks messed up for the last couple weeks but they’re getting back to their usual patterns. The digital world has my picture taking on hold as most times I head out to hunt the wife has the camera for the day. I’m just too tight to buy a “mud” camera.hehehehehehe

Here’s one from last Sunday. Great friends and a few birds is all you can hope for!

And whether the cheap "bargain barn" tarps should be used or should you get the good ones from Wally World. Would schedule 30 be as good as schedule 40..what about sch.60? It adds a bit more weight but you DOwant to be able to pass these down to your grandchildren don't you? I spent some time on Tim's link..those are pretty damn intristin!

For years I've been working/thinking on a design for a layout boat based on the technology used by Platt Monsfort. I read about him back in the early eighties. Neat stuff. I wish I was a rocket scientist.

Glad to see you are getting to use the new spots. I was thinking it was about time to see some pictures of the layout boats set up in the flooded corn. I bet the snow and wind changed the birds up a bit. Must be pretty good to get to see the whole thing come together and get some cold weather to drive the northern birds down. Good luck with the rest of the season.
