Fly fishing, Squirrel hunting, Turkey hunting, and once home a delicious bowl of Squirrel, onion, taters and carrots....

Life is good for this Geezer that moved north in retirement. Thank God. To do the things that keep me alive, and some what well.

Hope all here are doing what they love during this very wonderful time of year.

Best regards

Beautiful pictures. It really is the best time of the year. The only thing that is missed is sleep.

Thank you.

Yup it's very fleeting, and a lot going on in short span of time. Thank goodness for good hot coffee.

Wow, the colors are vibrant and make me want to take the day off tomorrow and go hunting. But our trees aren't that colorful just yet so I'll have to wait. Do you have any sassafras trees in your area? That is one tree that gives maples a run for their money.

Steve,

I use my Samsung A11 phone.

Takes very good photo's. Other than that I barely know how to use the darn thing. Saves me from carrying a camera. Only issue is with 5G have lost lots of coverage for calls many of the places I go that I had coverage with 3G. Everything is a tradeoff.

Eric,

There was a drought in our area for many months, now it has broken. We are past prime colors now, but the leaves are hanging on, and the major leaf drop has not yet happened. I like being in the woods when it does, a incredible experience to witness. Not as many sassafras trees here as where I lived in PA.

The oaks here, especially the White Oak took a real hit from the Gypsy Moth last year and some this year. Many are not in good shape. Very little mast, but the pastures are lush. Emerald Ash Borer took a mighty toll and many ash trees have been cut down. Now beech and hemlock under attack. So I'm enjoying what there is while it lasts, and fall up here does not last long.

Beautiful fall pictures indeed! Thanks for sharing....I love to see the up north autumn colors. This year our autumn looks to be yellow to brown quite quickly. Ah well...

Dani,

Thank you. Colors are past peak now, yet some still hanging around. Lots of earth tones, umbers, sienna's, yellow ochre, etc. No rain for awhile so woods are super crunchy. Piles of leaves everywhere and of course kids playing in them. Lots of bare tree's. Next is the slide toward White.... and blue light.

Al,

Thank you very much. I've always admired your photography skills, and art.

My goal is composition more than anything. Sometimes it happens, and other times it does not.... I'm sure that you understand.
