Finally bought it...

Congratulations, Steve!

It's wonderful to just step out your door and be in the natural world - or just see, hear and smell it from cozy shelter.

And - as a good friend observed a few years ago - there is nothing like building.

Enjoy!

Thanks D...

Todd...that has definitely crossed my mind especially with the stream and beaver flow on the property. I'm pretty certain there will be some voracious wee beasties flying around.

Steve...you got that right, can't beat it. And it's awesome driving around exploring all day and knowing there's a home to drive back to. And man, there is a LOT of exploring to be had.

Plans for now are just starting with some grading and site prep. I'm hoping to at least build a platform over the next year to put a canvas wall tent up. That will give us a comfy place to stay when the real building starts.

Steve,

Beautiful!

When ya retire you can always move North, and live "In Camp" (the dream of many PA outdoorsman). Not all if us become Snowbirds, thank God. Enjoy it a much as you can, and as soon as ya can.

Best regards
Vince

That's the plan Vince...make a camp out of this property. And buy another piece of property later that we can live on and have my shop(s) & shed(s) and just use the original as camp. It will be so much fun making that all happen. Ya gotta love that snow!![;)]

Steve,
I did not make it up to trap in the Adirondacks this fall. Between a new puppy, our youngest son's busy senior year in high school, and a trip to Canada in October, I was just too busy. I'm hoping to resume the trips in the future.

Will give you a shout this summer to see how things are going up at your new camp.
