Successful / Fun Maine sea ducks.

Been back home about a week, but had to go straight to work. Was made to my pay my dues for taking off.
Ultimately just got settled and unpacked. Repeat trip for me and Patti .
I think weather wise we picked a bad time to go but still had a blast with Troy (here on Duckboats)
First morning I think was the best weather wise for us southerners and water beyond the bays was not cooperating but Troy still got us on some birds.
First day we limited out on old squaw and Patti managed to get her first bird! AND we limited out!! Told her it?s all down hill from here with her first bird being an old squaw vs a wood duck or gadwall.

Pearl did great retrieving the downed birds.

Second morning we tried for scoters . Low numbers but what birds we were getting were cooperating but we couldn?t connect with our shooting.

Third morning we tried for black ducks ( I think my favorite hunt where as Patti?a was the layout boat). The way we hunted them (canoe) Reminded me of my younger days when I first got started chasing woodies.
Quick morning but managed to get a stud black duck.

Congrats on the repeat successful hunt, Patti's first duck, and the stud black. No doubt Troy is the man for gunning that area. Good times ad memories!
