Sunday and the paddle wheeler

Hi,

I really believe that sometimes I should be used as the ultimate example on how not to do things. I spent Saturday working on two boat trailers. If Dante was writing the Inferno today I think he would add another level of hell were those being punished had to deal with trailer wiring for all eternity.

This morning the alarm clock did not go off so I got up 45 minutes late. I got the pick-up started and was putting it in gear when I realized I had left the guns in the house. It was so foggy this morning the drive to the river took an extra 20 minutes. When I finally got to the river I got the boat loaded and ready to go while I was launching I realized I forgot the guns in the pick-up. It was just that kind of a morning.

Despite the beginning of the morning the dog and I had a great day on the river. Aspenhunt.jpg

There is a paddle wheel tour boat Queen of the West, http://www.americanweststeamboat.com/lifeOnboard/lifeOnboardShQOW.php, pliys the water of the Columbia and Snake Rivers. Even though I see the boat at least three to four times a year it always seems odd and out of place to see a paddle wheeler in eastern Washington. Today was the first time I got a photo of a retrieve with the paddle wheeler in the background.

The thing right in the center of the photo is Aspen on a retrieve.

Almost done.

When you have a 6 year old girl at home who thinks it maybe to cold outside for her dog to be hunting this is what happens when the dog gets home.

I guess she thinks the hardest working dog in Whitman County needs to be pampered from time to time.

I hope everyone has a wonderful new year.

My best,

that pampers Aspen, I see she has your coat on in one of the pictures. Looks like a nice day on the big river. Happy New Year.

Gregg,

That is not my coat, but it is a piece of camo material. Aspen is so white, that in low light conditions she looks like a flashlight to me so I try to cover her up. It didn't help yesterday when I could not find her vest.

My best,

Don
