Osagian Vantage

Does anyone have any experience with this duck boat? I have an opportunity to buy one with a 6.5 mudmotor for $500 but I don't know anything about them. In researching all I can find it looks like an older boat that does not have the flat floor with flotation but otherwise seems to be in good shape.
Any help would be appreciated

If I remember correctly they made Osage Duck Canoe first and the Vantage later. The duck canoe did not have a study motor motor to trailer the boat with a motor on the mount. I thing the Vantage was the improved model. Osage still make the boats in a 14' and 16' model. It is a displacement hull and will dow well and float a large load but not a fast boat. The thin aluminum riveted hull is not a good choice for banging into stumps or logs. Very stable boats to hunt from.

My plans for this boat is dual. It will be used for springtime shallow water crappie fishing with an electric trolling motor on the bow which will be removed for hunting in the fall. Then the boat will be used as a layout style marsh boat.
