Toss-in the Federal Court ruling overturning the Trump era alteration of the Obama ammendment to the Clean Water Act and you have a reversal toward normalcy where natural resources trump profits. How nice...!

This project seemed like a bad idea from day one. You know when a bipartisan group as diverse as this is opposed, its doomed.

I am not certain, but I believe that the courts have tossed just about every environmental roll-back from the last administration.

Challenged in the courts, but not all rolled back...keep your fingers crossed.

Five years ago a friend from Anchorage stopped to hunt ducks for a couple of days and attend his god-mother's birthday party on his way to a anesthesiologist conference on the east coast. Joe brought his notebook with some photos from his trip to New Zealand. He was suprised to discover that the country is not as pro-environment as they market themselves came out as one of the underlying themes from his photo montage he showed Karen and I as we made dinner. I mentioned the Pebble Mine and he went off on a twenty minute rant on the documentation that the value of the fishery far exceeding the net estimates of the precious metals derived from the mine over the expected life of the mine. Rio Tinto bailed as a partner when one of their chief investors notified them that they were about to withdraw their net investment due to their involvement in the Pebble Mine's deveopment. Yet, after each set-back someone else seems to come forward and attempt to push this mie through,
