Sounds nice there, Something to do all fall and winter, Great you got things together, Keeping the boat under cover is a great idea. I have to redo mine every year . It stays out side. I paint it every year whether it needs it or not. Just to protect the fiberglass. Its great you have a great wife. Good luck this season, Thanks for the post

It is nice out here in the Midwest. Iowa isn't the best state for waterfowling but we are within a few hours drive of areas/states that do offer good hunting. We can be in MO or NE or SD in 4 hours. One thing that I forgot to mention is that Iowa is a zoned state. we are divided North and South. the dividing line is Hwy 30 that runs across the state; east to west. the hunting season start and end dates and the splits are staggered. I am lucky enough to live right on the line. So I get to hunt whichever zone has an opener or is open.
So, being able to hunt 8 months out of the year really supports my waterfowl hunting addiction :)

Well you have the best of the best, duck hunting all around you. Here in New York State we have a lot of zones. So we have a chance to catch a bunch of opening days if we wish. I love early goose season here. I love going on the Hudson River in shorts and a camo tee. If its gets to hot I jump in and take a dip. I use to love field hunting for geese in the early season. But my partner pasted away and I never wanted to hunt early geese in the field again. We had so much fun. Good luck and do as much hunting as you can.
