Good day hunting, my first duck band

Today, I finally shot a banded duck. 4 mallards came in, and I dropped one, I missed a shot at a hen. I was disappointed until I saw the jewelry!
I got 5 goose bands, to date, but this is the first duck band.

My motor ran like a champ, so my problem is resolved. Starts on the first pull again, so the cleaning and rebuilding the carburetor was not a waste of time.
I "captured" a Canada goose and kept it with my goose decoys for a while. A couple hunters came buy in their boat, and I asked if they lost a decoy. They didn't even know one escaped until I asked how the rigged there decoys, and it matched up with theirs.

Mike,
Congratulations on the band. Good job on getting the goose decoy back to its owner. Nice that your motor is functioning as it should. Always a good thing when our equipment is dependable.

Your first duck band is a wonderful memory. Congratulations.

Good karma returning the stray goose decoy.

Days like that feed the addiction to our lifestyle.

Two thumbs up.
