What would you say is the worth of a 2001 30 HP Yammie two stroke?

Guys,
You all know more about motors and their relative worth than I.

What would a 2001 30 HP Yamaha two stroke in pristine condition, with about 100 hours be worth? It's part of a boat deal I'm looking at. My guess is that like the 25 hp, this is a motor beloved by duck hunters.

2 or 3 cylinder?
I have one and I love it.

The 25s actually bring a little bit more money, because they fall within the restrictions of many southern states horsepower ratings

In Arkansas several of the larger WMAs have a 25hp limit. Your motor also came in a 25 hp version. Those three cylinder motors can be built to create unreal hp so the locals buy all of them for top dollar, supe them up, and race to their hole everyday of the season to beat others with 2 cylinder 25s. Yamaha, Tohatsu, and Suzuki each made a 3 cylinder 25 for just a short number of years. Your motor could be disguised with a 25 hp cowling and the owner could get away unless the warden checked the tag.

Jode,
Three cylinder. What is this about southern states hp restriction?

What Eric said, great motor. I recently sold a 25 version. Market is 2500 plus or minus, depends on where you live. Top end given good compression and fuel system 3000+
