When I walkd out of the workshop yesterday, I looked down on the food plot and saw this small flock of Rio Grandes (middle of field) feeding on the young shoots of grass that are starting to come up.

As I watched them they started feeding closer to the trees.

I used the telephoto to get this pic's as I drove the ATV passed them on the road. After they went into the trees I circled around them and walked up begind some big oaks to get these last two pic's of a nicely colored jake in the flock.

I like these Rio's, they have some great color and charactor to them.

Hi Pete,

Robert had the answer, I was just moving teh cursor at the wrong time I guess...........so now you are in trouble.....I'm posting even more pictures! :^)

Have a good Holiday!

Dave

Gee Pete, I was hoping you'd adopt me so I could get to shoot over a giant decoy like the one in you photo! :^) Besides, you would not enjoy our warm winters here on the Best Coast, but our flamingo season is fun.

Dave

Dave,

I just kept trying until I finally got the cursor timing right. I have enough trouble with typo's and typing in a URL would drive me to drink. You just save some of that pocket change of yours each day and in a month or so.....you'd have that $1.75 Million so you could pay cash....NEIGHBOR!

For now you'll just have to settle for a small 2 bedroom log cabin along the Tongue River in Montana.............O.K.

Dave

Now there's a thought John!

Actually, they have just built the "Applegate Valley Inn" Bed and Breakfast about a mile and a half down the road from me.

If I ever built one here it would be known as a BB (goose load) instead of a B&B.

Take more pic's of that boat of yours whenever you go hunting again. I would still like to see a good photo of a BBSB (taken by one of the forum members) that could be used as a pattern for making our caps and T-shirts.

Best,

Dave

That'll do. I think it'd take quite a while to add up my pocket change and make 1.75 mil. I do have a jar going but if I add the .37 cents in my pocket right now I don't think we'll be neighbors very soon.

Now the Tounge has WOO HOO written all over it. Is that a go???

Dave,

I'll know by about June on the Montana property. If all works out as planned, Judy and I'll will look around Miles City either alonmg the Yellowstone ot the Tongue river for some land when we go back to our friends ranch on the Tongue to shoot prairie dogs mid June. In the meantime I will have them looking for a good spot to build on.

We were not ready anyway, but we recently missed out on 800 acres very near our friends ranch that sold for 250K. Like their place, it had mule deer, white tails, antelope and turkeys as well as loads of prairie dogs on it.

I know Rick Ketcham will be putting up a hunting cabin on the place and like I told you, I'll be puting up a couple of small cabins for guests who come to hunt, fish and visit.

I'll let you know when Willamina shows up!

Save that pocket change!

Dave

Build that hostel and they will come... I'll look you up as soon as Elizabeth can cast a 3wt.

Maybe a picture of a BBSB hunt under sail power? That would be cool!

Hi John,

A 3 wt. would be perfect, Boo-Boo Bass loves a 3 wt. woth a #2 pound tippet. He plays you until your wrists hurt, then he breaks off!

Yes, a BBSB under sail or with the spray dodger up and the whole boat covered in catatils would do.
