your best sunrise/sunset...hard to beat mine...

This is my favorites (not necessarily best) out of my files...

Honestly not sure if I took it or my dad, that was taken 20 years ago this fall, shot with my dads 35mm on Grassy Lake, Lake County Illinios, once our private hunting paradise, now part of the forest preserve (which beats the heck out of seeing it developed into housing!)

Wow Jon, that's amazing. Was that post processed at all or is that all natural? Very cool picture either way.

This hunt was a solo effort in a public marsh I had not visited for a long while. I really enjoyed watching the progress of the light from the first hint of red on the horizon through looking like the sky was glowing.

Those were taken with a Nikon Cool Pix point & shoot camera (I think that it is only a 3.5 megapixel - it's about 10 years old). No processing at all - I wouldn't even know where to begin. I had some 8 x 10 prints made and framed them. I just got lucky on those.

Hi All,

New to the forum, though I've been lurking here for a while. These are the sorts of threads that make this site so great. Been nice to find this and start hunting again after a 7 or 8 year hiatus. Grew up hunting Lake St. Clair area and now I'm a ways up north of that...

Didn't see any Lake Superior sunrises here so I thought I'd offer up this one. This was a memorable morning for me, my first season up here and my young retriever's 15th retrieve soon after it was taken.

One another note, you guys have a tremendous forum and resource here. I like the real names and it's nice to find something that's more than just a collection of tailgate shots from anonymous sprayers. I've also learned a lot just by reading as I make a very tough decision about a duck boat for next year, been able to do a lot of searching on older posts and consider the merits of different designs. Anything has to be better than the loner flatwater canoe I borrowed for this season!

I had just planned to buy something, but now you guys have me thinking I'll need to build it...as if I'm not short on time as it is :) Thanks all of you for a great forum, the generosity of your knowledge and the inspiration. Hopefully my picture works. Hard to believe it seems like there's only about 4 Canadians on here posting? Some great pictures in this thread, thanks for posting them.
