Got an email this morning that there is a 2 day brush sale on high end brushes including the Kolinsky sables (usually found in the watercolor section). The seller is Jerry's and it seems to be online only. At upto 65% off, this is worth looking at. If you are not familiar, Jerry's is a great online source for art supplies.
For detail, the Raphael 8404, Isabey 6227 and W-N Series 7 are high end benchmarks. The W-N Artist Water Colour Sable are new and are priced even less. I have 4 of these latest (2 round, 2 pointed round) I have been playing with and give them 3.5 out of 5 stars. 2 splay a bit if not fully loaded. The other two are perfect.
