my name is Sonny Williams and have lurked here a couple of years. I live in Virginia Beach and have duck hunted most of my 53years. I also have taken and anual trip to Canada for the last 15+ years. I have enjoyed this site very much. I have shared some of the good times, bad times, and some sad times with each one of you. I hunt with a choclate lab that is 8 years old and who has been to Canada 8 years. Maybe someone here locally will chime in and maybe share a blind someday, or maybe I can help someone with a trip to Canada.
 
Sonny, I'm not the official Welcome Wagon, but...glad you finally quit lurking and are going to throw your $.02 into the mix.
 
Welcome. Glad to have another new name on the board. Do you do any boat building or decoy carving? I see we are of the same vintage....50 something.
 
No, I have not either built a boat or carved decoys, most of free time is spent in the vegetable garden, chasing flounder around the bridge tunnel, or offshore catching tuna dolphin and white marlin. That being said I have a very understanding wife. The rest of my spare time consit of messing with dogs and talking about and planing my annual trip to Canada. Robert if you have a web site for your decoys, I would like to take a look .
 
I am not a "commercial" carver. I just cut a little wood from time to time. There are several great carvers on this site though. Check out Yukon Mike in the classified section. He does some awesome work. I have two of his dekes and am waiting "patiently" for another.
 
Robert, thanks I shot my first Brant last year and wanted to get a couple of Brant decoys for the mantle. I did not want a really expensive bird, but did want one easy on the eyes.
