I have wrestled with this decison for some time, but finally came to the conclusion I should sell my big boat. I would prefer to sell it here in Maryland, but as with previous postings the boat could be in the Wisconsin by middle of August.
It is a 1985 Starcarft 18' hull. It has new wood transom and floor, both epoxy sealed, floor and deck painted with Durabak, an accessible internal 15 gallon gas tank was also built in, 2 hatches accessable to storage in front deck. This hull was orginally a center console with no splashwell, I had a custom aluminum spalshwell added to be able to run the tiller but provide protection from water coming into boat. The hull has no leaks or loose rivets and is on very good condition. The motor is a mid to late 90's Mercury 60hp tiller, I put a new impeller in it last winter. But it spent most of its life in freshwater until I bought it a few season ago and never had any issues with it. The motor will need a new Prop. The trailer is a 2001? galvanized load rite and is also in very good condition.
The hull does great in rough conditions and still floats in less than 12" of water. The rig will top out at about 32mph with 2 men, dog, layout and 6 dozen cork decoys. It is set up with a cradle to hold a MLB classic but could be adapted to hold other layouts. I also have a homemade PVC blind with netting and fencing that puts up in a few minutes to hunt out of the boat itself. outside needing a new prop the boat is ready to hunt. The following pics are from before the season and because I just decided to sell it it probably a bit dirtier right now. The pic of the hatches is before the hull was painted the brownish color.
