Does anyone have any experience with the 18 HP 4 stroke Tohatsu...would you recomend it?
I am limited to 20 HP on the main lake I hunt.

Hi Tim,
I can't comment on your specific model, but I can give a very positive report on Tohatsu in general. I've got one -a 50 horse - on my boat and I have never had a single issue with it. Seems to be a good reliable motor.

I also do not have experience with a Nissan/Tohatsu 4 stroke but I have had an 18 Hp Nissan 2 stroke since 1998. It is one great motor. A little cold natured but other than that, I don't have a single complaint and had not had a problem with it. I have never heard a bad word about Nissan/Tohatsu from anyone. Pretty safe bet.
