i have 17 ft tdb main built in like new condetion i was not going to sell but i am going out of duck hunting and i will sell all my duck hunting stuff.if you interested let me know and i will send you pic.my email delohumo@aol.com

Sea class boats were built by Arthur Armstrong Co. They were not built in Maine. That is what I as told by Armstrong Co. I believe that they started in the late 90s as well. FYI so you are not spending your time looking for a Maine built Sea Class.

my 17 tdb is a classic model 1988 not a sea class model as you say sea class is not built in main.if you interested let me know you email and i wil lsend you some pic .thanks

Thats is NOT correct Mike....the TDB Sea Class was built for at least for 1 year in Maine

Mike, My NOT FOR SALE TDB Seaclass is Maine built, one of the first 14SC's in 1999. I think the timeline is it was the 17SC's first in the late 90's, then the 14SC's, and then the Maine factory burned down. Then I think Nickels Boats in Michigan built the boats for Christian for a year or two and around 2002 or 2003 Christian sold the Company to AA. Nickels is at some point here in 2011 going to be building the TDB's again.

I stand corrected.

I contacted AA a few months ago questioning the sea class and I was told at that time that the SEA CLASS was never built in Maine and was basically an AA design.

I couldn't wait until Monday and didn't want to go tit-for-tat with anyone since that is what I was told by AA.

I called them at 9:50pm tonight and they answered (seriously)

Verdict:(this time I spoke to a man)

Yes there are Maine built Sea Class TDBs.

Sorry for the mis-information but that is what I was previously told by AA. (FYI - it was a woman originally)

I am a man and I can admit when I am wrong.............

Caz The Duck Stop in maine has one for sale for I belive 7K or 8K without a motor but he's had the boat a while so maybe you could get a deal on it
