WTB - small duck boat

Buddy is looking for a lighweight, small (12' max) kayak type of duckboat. He is going to use this to drag to small sloughs in western MN and use for retrieving ducks in deeper water and to set up dekes. Light duty work, nothing serious. No trailering as he wants to be able to put on top of his car.

Aquapod, Casrtens, etc would all work. A Pokeboat would be great but they tend to be expensive.

Buddy lives near me in MN.

Amended after Brian's post: can't be a boat that requires a trailer. He is planning to car top as another boat on a trailer and his wifey would neuter (OK, maybe she has already done that if you know what I mean) him.

Check out Derek Bendell's duck boats. He has a great boat that is light as anything. He is on this site. If i needed a nice light boat like what you are looking for Derek's boat would be my first choice. Check it out. He can send you pics and answer any questions you may have. Good luck

Not sure of his site but go to the search post and type in. "Few new ones" there is a bunch of good pics of his awesome boat

Derek is a great guy and I have hunted out of his original boat in MN. Lighter than a Carsten Puddler and very stable boat. Can easily be put on top of a car or truck. Lessexpensive then the Carsten I think his price is currently $699

Chester,
Derek will be bringing a few boats to MD. One for The UCC Delta Event that he will be raffling off.

Thanks for thinking of me Fellas.

I will only have 1-2 Boats for Sale in MD. The UCC Delta Boat is obviously not gonna be for sale. I can likely only bring a few.

I am working out Shipping Costs now, but I'm hoping with there being some time yet prior to the Season that a Waterfowler-Coalition might make deliveries, and logistics easier depending on who's all doing what, and going where this Summer?

I will also be in MN at the Game Fair this August with Boats for Sale there. 1st come, 1st served Policy at that Show.

I've had tons of interest, and Boats are being built right now. I sure appreciate the interest, and tire-kicking, but the reality is if Guys wait too long I'm gonna go Duck-Hunting... ;) If you're serious about a Boat for 2011 you gotta get on it. Contact me to make the arrangements. Doesn't look like we'll have Regional Dealers set up this year. Being a new Startup, Money-Talks. If you pay for one, you'll get it before Duck Season kicks off...

Right now they're being built in FL. The second Week in July I'll be back up in MN with Production, and we're gonna be building them for the Upper Midwest Guys til it starts getting cold. Then back down to FL permanently by late Fall. This is my last Seasonal-Occupation Year in MN. I'm getting out after Duck Season is winding down, and bad Weather starts rolling in...

Roughly 50" x 24". Cockpit dimensions.

Yes. I will be in Ohio. On the Turnpike from IN to PA. The commute will be from a jump-off point in MN. Rolling through the 28th/29th of July.

Like I said though I have the ability to bring just a couple Boats besides the ones already spoken for.

Feel free to call or email with any questions.
