I only have Monday available to me as tomorrow is shot for work purposes and the weekend shot with kid hockey stuff. Water was good on the way into work this morning and even though I didn't get outside until it was dark, I could tell that it had frozen. I know that one of theplaces I go south of the cities will be open but I don't know if there will be any ducks. My Dad was out yesterday and never raised his gun and only heard two shots in the whole slough which is quite large.
DeSmet is a nice town. Next time you head that way for pheasants, I'll pass along my in-laws contact information and they would most likely let you hunt any of their land. I may be back the weekend before the Christmas weekend doing some pheasant hunting provided it is still open.
