We get excited when we see clouds around here. This was way too far away to do us any good, but if anyone in the state got rain, we are happy for them.

Bev and I decided to drive down to the Rio Grande after we got a couple of ice cream cones in San Antonio. Things are looking pretty bleak.
First shot is looking north the second is looking south.

The orange trumpet flowers are now blooming nicely. I'll look forward to the next couple of weeks in hopes that the migrating hummingbirds will stop here.

River is looking pretty dry Al. I hope you get some rain in the next couple of months. Also, those last two shots are great. Pups are looking good. Happy 4th to you too. Luke

Thanks Luke. The Rio Grande has been dry for a while. The only water around is that which is in the ditches for irrigating farmer's fields. There are a couple of spots where they have these huge generators that are now sucking water out of the ditches and back into the Rio Grande to help preserve the "silvery minnow"----an endangered specie.
They have the Rio Grande and bosque (woods along the river) off limits now. There is a $500 fine if you are caught down there now. As soon as we get some rain (hopefully) I will take my four wheeler down there and do some investigating. This is a good way for me to see where there are drop offs or extremely shallow areas along where I hunt.

Glad you enjoyed them, Dennis. I do take lots of shots. My camera is 27 months old today and here is the 240,005th shot I took with it yesterday. This Canon is absolutely unbelievable since it has already exceeded its 150,000 frame warranty by 90,000 pictures. I'm sure one of these days, I will have to send it in for some repairs however, I don't mind waiting.

I love my camera and normally have with me most places that I go because you never know when that opportune moment might come along.

Chance likes to think he is a lap dog. He tried to sit on Bev's lap yesterday afternoon.
