Time will tell how the left knee holds up. We have received some rains but it is still unbelievably dry around here. We should be around 4.5 to 5 inches of precipitation for the year now and that is about 3 to 4 inches below normal. With the Rio Grande flowing once again it gives me high hopes for the private ranch that I hunt on. It still has no water but when the irrigation system is shut down for the year, the Rio rises considerably and that will help make the area I hunt in much better.

Still not seeing too much around my area but have had some success seeing birds down south towards Elephant Butte Lake at Truth or Consequences. The only other place I have seen ducks is at the state and federal ponds that are 30 miles north of me. I have a feeling that this year will be interesting.

Sorry about the dust spots on my lens. The first two shots were taken at a very long distance and then heavily cropped.

Nice pictures Al. Good luck on those BWT, I think a lot have been sent your way in the past week.

Iowa opens this weekend also, looking forward to another sunrise over the marsh!
