Thought i'd show off my paint job...she was getting alittle sagging on the paint...The Engine was never painted, but i sick of putting the cover on the engine...let me know what you think....Rusty

Rusty, That looks to be one of my early Duck Hunter 15. What year is it? You did a nice job on the camo paint job.

That is one heck of a paint job !!!! Nice work to say the least , what did you use for stencils or is it all free hand ?? ( Not ) but cool stencil

Rusty, Did you have one of the sea lion trailers. If you did I can see why you have a new trailer. We had a lot of trouble with them. Fortunately I changed to Yacht Club trailers some years back. A vastly better trailer.

Tom no it was'nt a sealion...i forget what trailer it was...i just wanted something better on long hauls...and this trailer drafts great on longer hauls and is just plain smooth...Tom what do you think about the straps on the sides for the blinds and the fuel line setup in the last picture...my brain is always processing ideas...

No stencils...pieces of my bushes on the side of my house..started with the primer,lightiest base coat and 4 different colors....with the brush pattern...

I was talking to Rich and he said he put those straps on some of the blinds. Obviously not yours but they are nice if you want to roll the blind down while moving or traveling. I know Rich runs the boat with the blind up and stores it in the boat while on the road with the cockpit cover on. I take it the fuel line retracts when not in use. I like the Idea. Again you did a great job on the boat. Good to hear your enjoying the boat.

Rusty. with the cost of a modern outboard, it really takes a lot of fortitude to camo up your motor. I have two mercurys that I just cant seem to get up the courage to camo paint. I just keep draping a camo cover over them. My Honda mud motor was another story, it was bright red and stuck out like a sore thumb, Puff canned it the first week I owned it! Rich

I just painted one of my newest motors last year and my brother was yelling at me that I was crazy for doing it. It's just the first brush stroke thats painfull. Then once you start getting into it it starts to be fun again. By the time your half way done your looking for more paint and other things to do to it.
