John,

Sorry we didn't get the chance to hook up...Stuttgart is about 35 miles from my house.

Next time give me a shout! Hope you had a good time down here.

Rick

Rick -

Stuggart is only 35 miles from your house. When does the welcome mat get extended to the members of DBHF?

You ever hunt the infamous flooded timber of Stuggart? someday I intend to get down there and try it out. Looks like a fun way to hunt ducks.

Mark,

My welcome mat is always out for duckboats members...hell, man, I told you that a couple years ago!

I haven't hunted Bayou Meto in many years, though since I live within about 20 minutes of the nearest ramp, I should go learn it again I guess.

Still, making sure I comply with all the new rules - 15 shells, 3 mallards instead of 4 (I think), etc. and dealing with all of the people - I kind of wonder...

15 shells, that doesn't even get me warmed up. Cripes, I'd come away with one duck if I was lucky.

Thansk again for the invite and yeah, I remember it being extended awhile back. Just a reminder note I guess. Someday I'd love to hunt that area. Any mines site of any type down that way?

Mark,

Only "mines" we have are for quartz in the Ouachita Mountains, that I know of. But, if you decide to get down this way, lemme know.

John,

I figured as much on the down-and-back. Were you part of the HHG crew hunting with Steve Hathcock, et al? Keep it in mind next time, and if you're down longer with some time to spare, I'll put together a duck gumbo or grill some venison or something at the house.

Rick

list of invites. Can't thank him enough for putting this together. The subject of gumbo did come up and I never have tried that. Maybe next time.

Just got back home too. We drove and got stuck in Ohio last night in blinding snow. Went through Winous Point to get a Fatboy. Stuttgart was great this year and we shot a few ducks. Glad you had so much fun your first trip to Stuttgart John. Rick sorry we did not get together. We went from one thing to the next as you can imagine. We duck hunted in the morning and deer in the afternoon. We had some great work for John Rabias dog Kegan and my little dog Dorie. She was the only black lab in the sea of yellow and reds above. Great time had by all and God willing we will do it again next year. HHG
