with us in Stuttgart to set the stage for 3 great days of hunting.

For the most part we each had our limit of gadwall, spoonbills, and mallards every day. It was simply an awesome trip. Three mornings of fantastic duck hunting and one evening in a deer stand provided a nice doe for the freezer.

Our host had all the camo toys on hand and a staff that clearly knew where, how, and when to work the ducks. We couldn't thank him enough!

This flooded timber spread could have been set up by Walt Disney's enginnering staff! There had to be well over a hundred dekes with swimmers and diving dekes on remote controls everywhere. I was waiting for Mickey Mouse to pop out of the water and start calling! A most impressive layout that worked very well.

When all was said and done, we enjoyed three days of great friends, dogs, hunting, and sunsets over the prairie. I hope to be able to do it again soon.

Looks like a little slice of heaven. Just what I imagined that God's duck blind would look like!

hmmm.
Mojo's are not legal in Arkansas this year, but electronic/battery operated diving ducks are?
I was not aware of that.

hunt. It was a totally different experience from what we do. What's your schedule like? Do you want to hook up some time soon for a hunt?

spinning wings, they can be used. I'm not kidding, that set up could have been designed by Walt Disney's engineering staff and set up by a team of duck hunting electricians. It was not the way I normally hunt, but was quite fun to experience for a morning.

That huge hypnotic snake could only fool someone to leave Arkansas! I'm sure you must have seen him...

Maybe the Ivory bills will be around next time your down- hehe...

I've been out 3 times this year. Just not seeing any birds to make it worth the effort. I did see a HUGE deer scrape on the ground the last time I was out. Almost hung up my duck gear for the year in hopes of maybe getting a deer. I am taking Christmas week off with the hopes of laying out some duck carnage, if and when the birds get here. Not really seeing many large flocks of eiders either. The harlies are here off of Rockport now. Have not seen that King Eider yet though.

Talk to you later. Do we have a DU meeting soon? Also, do you know if J. Rabias was able to get some of that tarred line? I can go over there this weekend and snag some if he has not.

Best,
Nate

PS: That bottle of wine you gave me was the best I've had in a long while. Thanks again.

I'm like the milkman... return the bottle and you will get more! If it is not too much trouble I know JR would like a spool of tarred line. Thanks!
