Tom, Love the Can the wood grain in the bill showing is cool as well.

Here is my progress to date on my bench. Lots of things going nothing in paint yet but very close.

Tom, Bill and Brandon,
Nice job already.

Brandon I really like the shape of those two closest in the first photo. Pair of wigeons?

I have been watching these threads for a while and really enjoy looking through them, so I'm glad I can finally post something on here. just finished up my first attempt at decoy carving, a drake bufflehead. It will feel cool to have a bird of my own in the rig next year and hopefully I can start working on another bird soon.

Colin the Buffy is pretty dang cool. George it isn't a photo of your shop without the great big pile of cork dust

Tim, guess they are going to get painted as widgeon now and I was planning some ringnecks out of them. Darn!

Chris, I am thinking black, I have more use for mallards but I love painting blacks.

The rest of the work is really cool this month. George those springs for your rig or a customer?

Had an order for that bunch--Had fun with the variations, including the pickleheads with bodies. I doubt all the alerts will be used at once.

Brandon - I like the consistent and unique eye groove on those mergs. That's an elemnt of your style. It ties the whole group together and brands them. Nice

Wish I could be prolific as George...can't wait for "retirement" to decoys full time.

Also good to see new folks trying their hand at carving. Colin - If you send me a PM with your email address I will send you a few different Bufflehead patterns. One is a nice simple Jersey pattern you will appreciate.
