We're more than half-way through the shortest month of the year. It's been a long winter of down-time. Right now, with frozen slush on the ground training is an issue. However, it won't be long. The winger batteries are charged and training plans have been written.
Late last summer, good water was a huge issue. The nearest training pond was three+ feet lower than normal and the county training park pond was totally dry.
We had a brief, hard thaw a few days ago. When checking the pond yesterday, the water level (frozen over again) is right up to the spillway. My spirits are up and the dogs are ready!
