This one is headed to Illinois. Paint is done need to finish the bottom and keel it up.

I started this one the other day. Had the head hanging around and shaped the body.


 
I have been out of town a lot lately.
I got to teach teal painting 101 this week to a hunting partner in Ohio. Was a good time. I repainted one of my rig and he followed along on his first all wood bird.

Tom and Pat you guys are machines. I will have to get Chris to post some pictures of what we have been carving.

Hollow cedar hen pintail i finished painting today. Spine surgery rehabe! Three more weeks of light duty to go. Gonna repaint anything i can find laying around.

Jode- Those woodies are beautiful. It is really good to see you putting out decoys again.
 
John - I use a coat of Miniwax Special Walnut 224 on the decoy before I seal it. That way, when you get paint rubs, they don't stand out and have more of a worn, vintage look.
