***Traveling Decoy Auction ~ Side-by-Sides***

Well folks, it is time once again to auction off last years Traveling Decoys. Both these decoys traveled across the country being hunted with DHBP members and their friends and families. Accounts of their journeys' were posted here but the full accounts are recorded in the journals which will stay with the decoy(s) going off to their new homes. All proceeds from these auctions will go toward general site funding to maintain duckboats.net as a commercial free community. Eric does a great job of keeping this place on a shoestring budget, but we need proceeds from fundraising efforts like these and the generous voluntary donations like Eric mentioned in another thread just yesterday.

We will run these two decoy auctions separately this year, and start thing off with Side-by-Sides, cork Blue Wing Teal pair by Pat Gregory:

This unique teal pair has been signed on the bottom/keel by the members whom hunted with them, and shows typical signs of wear of a long season afield and on the road.

We will start the bidding at $50, with a minimum raise of $5. Any DHBP member can bid by simply posting a reply to this thread stating your bid. Bidding will run from now until 9PM EDT Monday September 16th. Decoy pair will ship from me to the winning bidder after confirmation of payment to Eric.

I personally want to thank Pat Gregory one more time for the donation of this pair of decoys, and all the participants of the hunts as well as all the bidders.

Chuck

Woohoo!! I will have to modify it a little as soon as I get it...can you guess how? :) Hitch

Congrats Hitch! There should be a ribbon that also goes with that. It took 2nd place in 2001 at the Livonia, Michigan Show in the floating pairs competition. Let me know if you don't get it. Pat

Damn, If I wasn't too busy to check my computer, I may have just offered up a little more.

Anyways, just for fun...

These were snapped last January on Virginia's East Coast.

Trying to catch-up to the flock-
