Being sick this week and the terrible weather today was the 1st day that I was able to get out for B week. I was supposed to take a good friend to try to get his 1st bird, he overslept and off I headed in to the turkey woods solo. Got setup late and the birds we gobbling when I got there had to setup with plan B. Birds on the roost were going nuts and I spotted one in the tree and hoped that he didn't see me. At fly down began to purr cluck and yelp 5 hens flew down into the field and a few seconds later after another set of calls here comes the gobbler flying down as soon as I saw the bird hit the ground I could see a nice beard a few more clucks and he was in range and it was over all done at 5:47. The Koble pot call is unreal and is the 4th turkey I have called in this season in just 3 days of hunting. 2barrel that walnut/aluminum call has really become my favorite and has been deadly thus far! 10 5/8" beard 20 lbs spurs 1" & 1 1/8"
