Today started out not quite so cold and not quite so windy. And, more importantly, a heck of lot more water. I went to an old stand-by spot to see if the divers are down. Saw a few in the distance early but based on what I saw, our scaup, cans & redheads are AWOL. Did manage two gadwalls. Missed one buffie and also missed on what I thought was a pair of GEs, which would be really early for here. I also found the hole in put in my waders pushing us off the mud yesterday! Poured water out of the boot at the truck, good think neoprene has great insulating powers.
Afterwards, I scouted a few spots that I hunt for divers, all I found was buffies, lots of buffies. But no big divers. Some one up north, please send me some divers!!!!
