Picked up a rig of these about a year and a half ago and one other. All have been picked in Massachusetts and are marked with a W on bottom. They are well built with a beveled bottom board, shaped oak keel, flat head screws, glass eyes and carved cork tail. Well detailed for a cork bird in my eyes. A few have shown up in auctions catalogs and have been attributed to Long Island - I feel they are possibly from Buzzards Bay area of Massachusetts since they have all been found in this area in homes tracing back to their vintage and not decorations.
