These two had their first litter. Most are now in their new homes and already we are missing them.

Bev's granddaughter and her boyfriend came down to visit. Pups sure had fun!

Yesterday I drove up to Santa Fe and met a customer from Taos. Jameson will be back packing in the mountains before he knows it. Now I'm wondering if he will be downhill skiing this winter?

Gus thought Cassie's toe tasted pretty good.

Molly will be trained as a service dog.

Cuchillo Negro will be trained to retrieve with her owner loving to hunt ducks.

Mateo loved the water.

Bev had given these pups a bath and we put them out in the courtyard to play until they were picked up.
Gus loved the spot he found. Right now he is with his new family in El Paso, TX.

Maverick is keeping his new owner full of surprises. She has already been sending us pictures.

Cuchillo Negro aka Black Knife has already made her first big retrieve and that was her new owner's flip flop.

For those of you who don't care for dogs/pups here is one for you. I had a surprise visit from a former 5th grade student of mine when I taught in Wausau, WI back in the 70s. Russ is now 50. We decided to go for a ride in the Mule and I drove him over to a spot where I hunt teal. Ironically I was showing him the spot where I had been hunting one morning in the middle of Sept a few years ago and had a large female western diamondback rattlesnake curled up one foot from my left leg. We decided to drive on so I started the Mule and that is when we both spotted this guy crawling across the dirt trail that we were on. Russ loved it as much as I did because we both had our cameras busy.
In about two months I'll be back here carefully picking my spot for the blind if we have any water by then.
