"The Winds of Hell Were Loose on the Mississippi"

Guys,
Here is the best I can do right now on McQuarrie's report on the Armistice Day Storm. It comes inserted into a post from the Minnesota Waterfowlers.

Highlight the link and go to the address. Scroll down a bit and you will see cut and pasted the great, great account by the one many regard to be the premier writer of all things outdoors.

He begins his article with the great opening line, "The Wind of Hell were loose on the Mississippi tonight."

Larry, Yes, it is important and sobering to remember those that lost their lives. As important is to remember those that survived that terrible day and have had to live with the memory.

Our very own Wis boz, Jim Bosanny, was there that fateful day. At our recent LaCrosse adventure he passed around a hollow wooden decoy that was floated on that day. I don't but I know someone has a picture.
