"B" Week NJ Turkey hunting

Been a terrible week as far as Turkey hunting weather is concerned. I dragged myself out of bed this AM to sit at the edge of a field that holds lots of birds. Little calling early with a few gobbles the birds flew down off the roost and seemed disinterested as they had seemed all season thus far. Couple of clicks and yelps on the Jode Hillman long box and shortly there after the field I was gunning was covered with gobblers. Once in close range I switched over to my Mike Koble aluminum/walnut Pot call with the Osage striker. Not long after I had a pair of nice gobblers within 15 yards. The 12 gauge barked and down went the nicest birds of my life!! Glad I dragged myself out in the rain!

I can't thank Jode Hillman enough he listened to me complain all week last week about uncooperative birds and decided to send me one of his long boxes without me asking. Thanks Jode you are a great friend!! Can't wait to spend some time together afield in a few weeks.

Impressive stats, great bird! Congratulations, weather has been less than desirable here in Maine as well.
