Went down to my local river to avoid the town crush today. (Shell Rock is known for it's 4th celebration)

Managed to land a nice eater size, using a jig and nightcrawler. Stuck the rod tip right up against the roots of an overhanging tree.

BTW, loaded this image to my free Photobucket account and linked the image to here. Everything seemed normal, normal being tortoise slow.

Nice fish Dave. Nice way of spending 4th of July for sure. The scallop season opened here July 1. I haven't been out yet, but it's always a freaking zoo.

Nice looking fish! For perspective, I got to pour a new chimney cap on the fourth!

The people that seem to be having trouble with photobucket seem to be high volume quasi-commercial or full on commercial posters.

Florida Tourism keeps trying to recruit me for Scallop Season via Facebook ads :)

Nice 'eye Dave! Got out to Missouri River, SD for a bunch. 104 degrees and catching walleye on river flats in 12' of water.... with my 9 year old! Nice to see others escaping the crowds, but I guess we're duck hunters, so it's only natural.
