Spring and summer fun

My old phones camera was busted so I haven't been taking many pictures. Both Nikki and I have been working way more so there wasn't much to take photos of anyway.

Tog seasons have been harder, the relentless rain has dropped the average visibility from 6-8ft to 3-4ft. The fish get very spooky in the mud and they can feel you before you can see them. I'm still getting plenty of fish but the dives are no where as enjoyable. There isn't much to enjoy when you can't even see your fingers.

I haven't made any beer in a while but I have been enjoying making fruit wines. I summoned the help of a few people and we picked 18 quarts of dandelion flowers to make 3 gallons of dandelion wine. It tasted amazing before we bottled it. It will need some time to age seeing as the alcohol is a little rough and upfront. Only to wait a year....

Next batch which is fermenting and is 5 gallons of wild wine berry wine. They looked like raspberrys but leave an orange cone when you pick them.

This wine should wicked potent and will probably give you a mighty hangover if one were to over indulge but make it smells good!!

Looks like you are having a pretty good summer.

I made some raspberry Porter about 20 years back. Somehow, when I was boiling my wort, it overboiled and a pint or so of the stuff spilled back behind my stove.

That year we had more fruit flies than I tought possible from the sticky stuff.

Heavens, what would Malthus say?

There is a serious amount of sugar in wort. Thankfully I have only had 1 small boil over and it was out side. I can only image the mess it made in your kitchen.
