Neat Old Folding Duck Boat

That is pretty cool. Folding boat seems so odd to say but that's a neat way to store a boat if you don't have much space....

I know, that is what I was thinking. Impresses me on the ingenuity of some of the things from the past. You could have it in an apartment and take to hunting spot in the trunk of a car. No sheds, garages, trailer, etc. Truly portable, compact duck hunting at its finest.

Would be cool if someone here could pick it up for a good price and restore it. Would love to have it, but I am sure it is way out of my price range on the reserve and would be some travel (2 Day Trip) for me to go get since it is local pickup.

as I have said before- you guys in the upper mid west get the shot the the neatest boats

hmm- wonder how many bottles of single malt it would take to bribe someone to meet me half way [;)]

I found this a few days ago, was already planning my road trip! Now who will I be bidding against?

I would have to conclude that Mr. Linhardt did you no favors by alerting many more potential bidders.

although i like to see this stuff- i do have to agree the Paul Revere syndrome does annoy me when it trips me up and i try not to do it

I was bidding on a item once that was described incorrectly (being sold by a business that should have known better, so- i did not feel bad) then someone who was not going to bid, posted it on a board to make sure everyone saw it

next thing you know- people said they contacted the seller to tell him what he had while ignoring the condition issues telling him what a perfect example was worth- it showed up on other boards and instead of a good deal, it went for more than is was really worth [:/]

good luck on the bidding Dave-- would love to see the after pics- its a unique idea for a boat, I can see that having been made to fit in one of those little model A pick ups

That is really cool. I wonder if it's a one off or if they were mass produced at all. Incredible idea!

Reserve not met! IDK what they expect to get.... they should really donate it to a museum. I would not hunt it, but I would show it. Distance is a factor for me with the total cost calculation. Though I have some family that just moved to the Twin City area.

Good morning, Anthony~

Maybe someday somebody somewhere will invent a shotgun that folds in the middle....the perfect mate for this vessel....

All the best,

SJS

Add in some folding decoys and you got a IKEA duck hunting kit. [;)]

If I can help anyone with pick-up & storage I would be happy to assist. Only about an hour north of me.
