I've taken to the habit of posting a photo collage every 12 months or so. I did some crabbing with one of my 4 year olds last weekend and wanted to post the "tailgate" shot for Jode
as with fishing, we are very blessed with the abundance of resources down here
I'm not sure if most of ya'll have seen how we cook them in NOLA. It's a little different than your standard east coast steaming
We used the little skiff that I posted last go round, and a dozen drop nets
We also actually got a snapper season this year as opposed to the last few
and as always, had a few of these to go around
Daytime sword. The amazing thing about these creatures is that it ate on the bottom in 1400', and was winched to the top with an electric reel in under 10 minutes. Even with the change in pressure that would basically explode anything else I'm familiar with, it comes to the top ready to battle
