I have been making a trip down to Klamath falls for the Oregon opener for almost 20 years now. For the past 5 years my dad has joined us and this year my son finished hunters safety and was there also. It was fantastic having both of them with me on trip that I love to do. My long time hunting partner Carl brought his son along also for the first time. The teal cooperated nicely and we had 35 ducks by 11:00 and the kids had plenty of shooting. I think they both claimed to have hit almost every bird that fell from the sky. On one group that came in I was pretty sure I hit 2 , My dad hit 2, Carl hit 2, his Jacob hit 2 and my Jacob only claimed 1. I am an engineer so my math may be a little rusty but only 3 teal were taken out of the group. I guess its the "new" math. I normally do not hunt with a group of more than 3 but was happy to make an exception with the kids. A great time was had by all. Unfortunately when setting up the decoys my phone/camera was in my wader pocket and had to go a bit deep to right an upside down decoy. Phone got wet and stopped working. I took the battery out right away. As we were packing up on Sunday I put the battery back in and it started working again. Phone was saved but I have no pictures to share of this great trip.
