Bacon is cheaper than raincoats

It has been a spell, and I wanted to post up someting.

I am afraid the duck season here isn't really working out, as I have been devoting my time to chasing steelhead and
cohos on the river.

hope you all are having a good and safe season...

Threw every thing i had at them today.
The upper river was up a solid foot. Color was still good, but the current was hard and fast.

Managed a hook up long enough for the fish to erupt out of the water and show its belly and shake the hook.
Was a rosey cheeked buck steelhead... Bout 5 lbs.

Long long day washing line, trying different spots and different spoons etc.

I found out that the new raincoat i got last year only works if the rain is off and on.

It looks cool, and I suppose that is a nice thing,
but that old goose coat that I use to cover Kaden with when he's cold and wet still works better than anything else I've found.

Dad got for me in 1985.

It still fits too!

Guess I'll have to share it with Kaden.

Dog's are usually cool with sharing so long as a strip of bacon is included.

I'd better buy more bacon,
because it is cheaper than raincoats.

Thanks for the story. Good title too! A set of carhart or grundens rain gear is on the christmas list this year. Im tired of my drake rainjacket springing new leaks, ill definetly need good rain gear in the PNW.

A buddy from VT lives in wheelock and sent me a picture of bacon for 9.19$ a pound. Thats unreal!
