Flying home today from of week of ducking hunting in Post Harvey Port Aransas, unbelievable destruction these folks went thru, the comeback is underway, it sure has thinned out the duck hunters, most must think the ducks got the memo about Harvey LOL

Redheads are the bird, then pins, then we scratch out anything we can configure after that, this year I pulled my Devlin down to try out and hunt a few out of the way places, added to my usual hunting with my guys from Texas Gulf Duck Hunting. First two days days of the second split opener were "easy" you were getting ur redheads and pins, then we watched and sorted and sorted LOL. Had a couple days early in the week Monday and Tuesday that were extremely bluebird and the redheads and pins knew the drill, but then we go a weather change with wind and rain and it blew in some bills and the weather change put a attitude change to redheads. Overall a solid week hunting, and a good chance for me to dial in the Devlin with the mudmotor arrangement.

Nice report! Makes. Me want to get down to the Sound. Similar habitat to that area just a little less salty.
Over here it’s redheads the. Scaup and buffies, maybe a pin every couple of years.

We don’t get many pins but that seems to be the same here. They like the be in really shallow water. If your boats not sitting on bottom you’re most likely too deep for them.
