How Do I...

Good morning, Larry~

I just start typing...

Then I use the photo icon in the toolbar (I am in Markup - not Basic Editor), to select a photo from the hard drive on my laptop (where I had first reduced my file sizes to about 1000 x 1000).

I select FILE, BROWSE, OPEN my selected photo, then hit OK. Then I see a message at the bottom of the dialogue box that says "wait for duckboats.net:" After a short wait (long wait with big files), the image appears.

Then, I hit ENTER to get below the photo and start typing again. If I want more photos, I repeat the process. To separate the photos, I believe you need to have text between each one.

And, it seems there is a 10-photo limit per post.

Photos are presented small-svcale - but can be enlarged with a CLICK.

BTW: I enlarge the font size in all of my text to 14 - to help both myself and other readers.

Hope this helps!

Thank you Steve. I notice that with my Mac and iPhoto I have to toggle back and forth between Advanced Editor and Basic Editor for the photo to stay small size so that I can see my cursor on the line after the photo.

All the best back to you.

O K, Steve, I can e mail from my disc to folks, but brain and computer don't get in synch when I give thought to trying to post on here. For us dumbarses, please do a step by step. I think I have figured out how to make the images smaller. At least you have not told me otherwise. AYUDAME, por favor!!!![w00t]

When you select REPLY, the left side of your screen will read, from top down:

Subject

Icon

Post Style

Post

On the Post Style line, you'll see EITHER Markup - Switch to Basic Editor OR Markup - Switch to Advanced Editor

Select Switch to Advanced Editor

Now, on the Post line, you will see the Toolbar. The icons there start with B and end at the chain link icon. Just before the last one is the Photo icon ( a square framed image).

Select the Photo icon, then select the photo you want from your computer (as per my instructions to Larry).

This work?

found that stuff. It may be either the fact that I am about 100% right brained, and do not deal with logical steps to reach a conclusion.
Will sit down and give it a try., Keep in mind, I am pulling images by cinserting the disc from camera into my drive. The problem begins there. I understand the e- mail to-bit, BUT, do I e mail to duckboats, then follow the prompts? See, told you!![huh]
I did print your instructions. May have to kidnap a left brained person to give me a one on one tutorial at the house. Visual learner, I am![;)]

Also here's another tip for Mac users if your photos are coming in upside down.

I've found that if I export the desired photo from iPhoto to my downloads folder and then upload them to my duckboats.net post, for some reason they come in right side up.

I don't need to know why this works. I only know that it works .

:)
