Wish you were closer, Larry. That canoe is a perfect stash-in-the-woods machine.

Let me know if you are headed northeast, and I'm in!

I am in Florida this week. Will stop in Summerville SC tomorrow for the night at the inlaws. Could get it to VA for now and to LI first weekend of March or Vermont in the Duck season.

Dave:

That's a generous offer. The trip to LI or Vermont for me would come close to doubling the cost of the boat. I'm looking at needing a hotel room and gas and meals both ways.

HOWEVER, I might need to make a work trip to southern CT in early March, and if so, this might work out. I'm waiting for that schedule to finalize, and if so, maybe we can make this work. I should know by middle of next week--but that's probably too late for you.

In the meantime, no one should be discouraged from making a fair offer on this boat, which I highly recommend.

Actually, my schedule just came in. I have to be in New Haven on March 3-4.

If you'd be back to LI by then, and we can figure someplace to make the transfer either very early am or late afternoon/early evening on March 4th, this would work. I suspect a lot depends on where on LI you'd be coming from to make this work.

Ok, I will be in LI for the LIDCA show. If Larry can make it to Summerville with it I am happy to bring it along. Roof racks are always in truck, and ratchet straps on board. Will arrive around 4pm, and plan to roll out for VA around 10 on Saturday.

Dave,
I have not been paying attention to you and Jeff replying to my post in classifieds. I assumed people would email me as I put my email address in the ad.

If Jeff wants the canoe and you are coming through SC in May, I will hold it for him.

I've sent Jeff my number and I give it to you now: 586-668-1302.

Call me if you and Jeff want to work out transporting my Grumman 13' up to northern climates where it was born.

Larry
