Scarf joint?

That’s in Port Townsend, Washington. There is a local wooden boat school and tons of wooden boats being worked on locally.

Good morning, Sir~

Spectacular! I give the builder lots of credit for persistence and perfectionism. As I watched, all I could think of was a "more efficient" approach: 20 minutes with the Stihl and then some 3/8 putty and a fistfull of TimberLoks....zip-zip - job done! (On the other hand, Maybe I should not consider sailing my own vessel across the Pacific....)

All the best,

SJS

very interesting video. Amazing how well he uses a bar and rollers to move that keel around and what a hard worker he is. I'm going to watch the entire series; reminds me of Lou who built the oak skiff last year.

Amazing video. That there are actually people doing this kind of hand labor in 2018, not 1718, is amazing.

He is going to have shoulder muscles like thighs if he keeps doing that kind of work.

That was pretty amazing. I have to say though I couldn't wait for the sound track to be over between 3 and 4 minutes in. Not sure what that stringed instrument was but the high pitch out of tune string was making me cringe!
