Does anyone have any advise or experience with using a long shaft mud motor on a BB sneakbox?

I have a widgeon and wondering how it would be for that boat.

Any advise is welcome.

Be careful of your transom height limiting swing tail around and storing in boat. May need to make transom height extension. Fellow I bought my old AA Blackjack back from had to on that hull to allow storing longtail in boat when trailered. Motor worked good for him on that hull but it is a planeing hull and not displacement. I would think hull drag on a displacement hull might limit depth you could push that a barnegate hull in compared to a flatter hull shape.

If the motor sits too low on the transom to swing as much as you wish then instead of raising the transom you can order a 4” box spacer for the Go-Devil swivel base. Did that last season so I could run my GD 6.5 Hp on my TDB 14 Classic and it worked great.
