I got a few new canvas decoy bags to go along with my Estuary

I thought it only fitting to buy some of David Clarks decoy bags to go along with my "new to me" Estuary! I called Canvasbacks to order on 3/9, give or take a day or two. When I called I spoke to David, he took my order and helped me select what I needed. David was friendly and easy to talk with. We shared a couple of stories, and he shared information about his boat with me. David called my yesterday to tell me he just shipped my bags and they would be here today!

I think theses bags are awesome! I think I need a few for some goose decoys next. Before I bought my Estuary I was planning on getting some new decoys, and these bags will protect them well. I'm thinking of magnum mallards and blacks, with the mallards possibly being flocked.

Here are a few pictures.

Good morning, Mike~

I, too, have been very happy with my bags from Dave. (I have been disappointed in the bags from the "big vendors" - although the mice seem to love them....)

Also, Dave has been very helpful to me with my own canvas work.

All the best,

SJS

Love Daves bags, use them all year long. I do gun shows and use them from small items and my handguns. I like the short straps, as they are easier for me to carry. I also have a estuary, dave put on to the boat. Back problems stopped me from refinishing it. Got the clearance from the surgeon tuesday to start playing, shooting too.
Should start on the estuary when weather breaks and don't have to shovel to the boat. Keep drooling about Steve's shop. Dave makes a quality boats and goes the extra step on the finer things that most don't notice.

I have several of Dave's bags as well, and most recently got a very nice canvas shop apron, that I hate to get paint and epoxy on!

Good morning, Dave~

I have the same apron - and the same aversion to getting it dirty. Meanwhile, I own a single pair of pants that are "respectable" and most of my shirts are bespattered with paint and epoxy.....

All the best,

SJS

His bags are great...I am making sure I go to the decoy show this week in Manahawkin to get some from Dave as he will be there with more bags.
Enjoy the boat and the bags...

My bags from Dave are a lot more salt crusted and mud-grimed than what you guys are showing. LOL.

The new ones from Diane will be too by next winter.

Jeff beat me to it. I was going to say my decoy bags are a lovely hue of sea grass and barnegat bay mud compared to those new ones!

Mike congrats on your new boat ! I too have Estuary and love hunting out of it, I’m sure you’ll have great hunts out of it come next season. I also have a bunch of bags from David , all great but I love the bags he made for my pintail decoys, they are 3 slot bags, bottom and separations are padded with anchor pockets outside the bag and draw string closures, decoys sit in bag like on water to protect the long tail

Mike-those are really nice. Now you need to start filling them up like Farrukh does........

I really wish I could. Those pintails and decoy bags are both works of art.

I wish there were wood or cork decoys within reach of my budget. I sold a gun that tripled in value to buy the Estuary. I figured I'll have a lot more fun with the

boat than the gun. (even though it had a happy trigger[;)])

Where yah been Farrukh?? Haven't posted much lately!
Have a good season?
