The re-birth of the Jersey Gunning Decoy. This venture has been in the works for a while. I’m a duck hunter and I like hunting over hand carved decoys so it seemed only natural for this to happen.

Sedge Island Gunning Decoys is a new line of hand-carved, hollowed gunning decoys - Jersey style. The black duck prototype is complete. Mallards are currently in production. Bluebills and Brant will be ready by the end of April.

These decoys are hand carved and painted by Rick Brown of Brick, NJ. He is one of the best well-known carvers in the country. Rick was recently featured in the January/February 2018 issue of Decoy Magazine. As the former owner of the Barnegat Bay Decoy Company which resided on the old site of the Wildfowler decoy factory in Point Pleasant NJ, these decoys will be strongly influenced by their old paint patterns while also having flat bottoms and keels.

These will be by custom order only. Turn around time is 30-45 days.

Available for $175 each with the headless feeder model available @ $150.

Good morning, Mike~

Great looking bird! Of course, I will patiently await my favorite: Broadbill. I imagine we'll be seeing these at Tuckerton in September?

Congratulations and best of luck!
